FAQ

Questions about intheCupboard.

How it works, what it costs, and what makes it different.

How do I save recipes from a website?

Upload a screenshot / photo or paste a recipe link into intheCupboard and it automatically imports the ingredients, instructions, and and serving information into your personal cookbook. Works with most major recipe sites. You can edit anything after import.

How does the weekly meal planner work?

You can drag recipes from your cookbook onto a weekly calendar, tap a meal slot to search your cookbook or leave a note, or bulk schedule meals from the recipe itself. Move meals between days, and see the whole week at a glance.

Does intheCupboard build my grocery list automatically?

Yes. Once your week is planned, intheCupboard combines every recipe's ingredients into one smart shopping list, scaled to the servings you chose. No more rewriting the list by hand each week.

Can I share a cookbook with my family?

Yes. Households can share one cookbook, one weekly meal plan, and one grocery list. Invite anyone to share your cupboard. That way whoever is cooking sees the recipe and whoever's shopping sees the list.

Can I scale recipes to a different number of servings?

Yes. Set servings per recipe or per individual planner and the ingredient quantities will scale automatically to your grocery list.
